Works Great for Small/Medium Size Sandwiches
It works great for small/medium sandwiches but not so great on heavy meat filled sandwiches. I have to give it 5 out of 5 stars because its not a flaw in the grill since it wasn't designed to make large meat filled sandwiches. It has a nice small foot print and can sit on its side as to not take up much cabinet space.
Great for basic sandwiches
Though with the non stick burners, clean up is easy.
Does the job. Dummy lights are pretty confusing.
It makes sandwiches just fine. I'm not sure why everyone's complaining about cleaning it up - it's all teflon so all you have to do is a quick wipe to clean it up. It does ooze but get over it. I guess I buy small bread because it fits my bread slices just fine.. I think the idea is that if you use "normal" bigger slices it kind of crimps the edges that hang outside of the square area. Anyway, I will say that the "dummy lights" on the top are not very well thought out. Red light and green light. Which is which? They're both on most of the time. I just ignore them and it works fine.

Thumbs up on this sandwich maker. I've had this for years and I love the small size and convenience of making grilled cheese sandwiches in a pinch. Be sure to butter the outside pieces of bread that lay directly against the grill as to keep them from burning -- just a light spread will do. My kids love to even put apple pie filling inside pieces of bread for a quick treat! Mmmmmm! The clean up time is nothing too -- just take a piece of towel paper and wipe it clean! Great to give as a gift which is how I received mine!
Great Item
Bought this from another web site for 12.99 and it works great. Makes nice crisp sandwiches and very little mess to clean up. All I do is wipe it clean with a rag when I'm done. It takes about 4 minutes to warm up and about 4-5 minutes to cook. We really like this item.
