poorly made.
i opened the box witch by the way was falling apart, to be severely disappointed by what a saw. cheep plastic trays, with a small heating element. the holes in the trays are so large that peas will fall through when dehydrated. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ITEM. i will be sending back today!
Love my dehydrator!
I've had a Ronco Dehydrator since 1992. Ater 17 years, I finally had to replace it. I ordered the same model and it continues to work great! Easy to use and includes some great recipes.
Good for the price
I recieved this dehydrator for Christmas of 2007 and haven't had a problem with it. We have dried apple slices just fine in it. Will try out some jerky this summer as well as drying tomatoes. My only problem with it is that the plastic is a somewhat brittle type and with moving 5 times since recieving it, there's a crack across the base. This has not effected it's use though.

I am very satisfied with the dehydrator, the only exception that I can see so far is that the trays are very delicate and maybe easy to break, other than that - it seems to be terrific.
Great product
I had a Ronco dehydrader for many years previously and it always worked great. Unfortunately it was broken during a recent move and I needed to replace it. The new model is almost exactly the same as the previous one (different color is the only difference) and it works great. It dried the food well and there was no problems with the trays warping as mentioned in other reviews. It cleans up easily in the dishwasher. I'm not sure if it is supposed to go there but I have always done it that way with no issues. Just make sure it completely dries before using it again. I would definately recommend this product.
