A little pricey for what it does. Quality appears to be similar to those at half the price.
Saves my life every other day... love this slow cooker
I have very little time so this is a welcome addition to my home. I just love it. I could probably have bought a "brand name very expensive" slow cooker. Instead I did a lot of research and found this one to be perfect for me. I am happy and the price is definitely right.
Slow Cooker as Gift
I gave this slow cooker to my granddaughter for Christmas since she works. She likes it very much. It can be programed and is big enough for good size roasts or a turkey breast. She's still experimenting with recipes, but she says it does a good job.
Unreliable Cooker At Best
I called Hamilton Beach customer service and was told they didn't know why the unit shut itself off and that I need to call them back tomorrow with the model and serial number to determine what they can do for me under warranty. From the other reviews I've read, it seems that, even if they replace it with a new one, I will only be able to use this cooker when I am home so that I can use the manual setting because the Program Mode is just too inconsistent. I'm very disappointed and now wish I had spent a little more for a different brand.
